ussRonald Reagan(CVN-76) is berthed in the port of Yokosuka, Japan, performing its annual winter maintenance. The airline began a select four-month limited availability in Yokosuka on Jan. 13, after five months in the Middle East and Pacific.

"Staff of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility and Norfolk Naval Shipyard, together with Naval Forces and contractors,are working together in Japan to complete maintenance on the aircraft carrier', the Navy said in a statement.

America's Expeditionary Strike Group (ARG)

The amphibious ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) are the USSAmerica(LHA-6), USSGreen Bay(LPD-20) e USSAshland(LSD-48). Elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are embarked. ESG left Sasebo, Japan on January 14 for a western Pacific patrol.

Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG)

The Essex Expeditionary Strike Group (ARG) with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed on 12 August.

The ARG consists of three ships: Landing Helicopter Dock USSEssex(LHD-2), anfibisches Transportdock USSPortland(LPD-27) and the amphibious assault ship USSPearl Harbor(LSD-52). Collectively, the 11th MEU, Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) 1 and ships are referred to as the ARG/MEU. In addition to ships, the main elements of the ARG Navy are a Naval Beach Group element, a Tactical Air Control Squadron element, a Fleet Surgery Team, and a Naval Helicopter Combat Squadron element.

The 11th MEU consists of four main components: a command element, a ground combat element, an air combat element, and a logistical combat element. The 11th MEU is comprised of Landing Team Battalion 1/1, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 165 (Reinforced), Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 214 and Combat Logistics Battalion 11. The White Knights operate the MV-22B Osprey, UH-1Y Venom, AH-1Z Viper and CH-53E Super Stallions, while Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 214's Black Sheep operates an AV-8B Harrier unit.

The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is back in the Ionian Sea under NATO command. The CSG left for the mission on December 1st. Along with the US ships, the Royal Norwegian Navy frigate HNoMSFridtjofNansen(F310) joined the strike group under the Cooperative Deployment Program. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin ordered the strike group to remain in the Mediterranean rather than head to the US. Central command to travel.USNI News reported in December. The aircraft carrier made a port callSplit, Croatia, last week.

There are currently three NATO aircraft carrier strike groups in the Mediterraneantruman, Italian aircraft carrier ITSCavour(CVH 550) and French airline FSCharles de Gaulle (R91).

The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group (CSG) returns to San Diego, California today. The strike force was deployed to San Diego on August 2. Most of Carrier Air Wing 2's squadrons departed on Saturday and returned to their respective bases.

According to the Navy, "Carl Vinson is the first aircraft carrier to use a combination of fourth- and fifth-generation platforms within Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 2."

The air wing included F-35C Lightning IIs from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 147, CMV-22B Ospreys from Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron (VRM) 30, F/A-18E/F Super Hornets from VFAs 2, 113 and 192 , the EA-18G Growlers of Electronic Strike Squadron (VAQ) 136, the E-2D Advanced Hawkeyes of Airborne Command and Control Squadron (VAW) 113, the MH-60R Sea Hawks of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 78 and the MH-60S Sea Hawks of Helicopter Maritime Combat Squadron (HSC) 4. The complete air wing of the future will also include the MQ-25 Stingray unmanned aerial vehicle system, which is planned to be integrated into the air wings of the aircraft carriers by 2025.
